During his 32 years at the helm, Coach Reese has led the Eagles to a 480-259 record, 18 state tournament appearances, seven Final Fours and three State Championships (2000, 2004, 2007). He has been named WIAA Coach of the Year twice (2004, 2007), KingCo Coach of the Year (2017) and was inducted into the WSBC Coaches Hall of Fame in 2013 and the Washington State American Legion Hall of Fame in 2023. ... A graduate of Interlake High School (1984), coach Reese played ball at Bellevue Community College before earning his degree at the University of Washington in 1990. He is married to his wife Tami and has two sons Todd and Tyler and a grandson Easton.
Dan Desmond, Assistant Coach, #27
A former Eagle, coach Desmond was a four year varsity starter ('89-92) in the infield and earned All-KingCo and Team Captain honors as well as the 1992 Team MVP. ... After his career at Issaquah, he played college ball at Pacific Lutheran University, where he started three years ('93-96), was an All-League selection and twice named Team Captain. ... Following his playing career, Dan joined the PLU Baseball staff as an assistant coach while finishing his teaching degree. Dan has coached baseball for 20+ years and been a varsity head coach for eight of those years, with stops at Bellevue and Sammamish High School. He has also coached various summer teams, been a private instructor and ran baseball camps and clinics. ... Beyond the diamond, Dan also coached on the hardwood for 10 years, notching the 2006 State Basketball Championship with Seattle Prep. ... Dan is currently in his 25th year as a teacher.
Jared Carvalho, Assistant Coach, #28
A former Eagle, coach Carvalho was a two year varsity starter (1996-97) in the infield and earned All-KingCo and Team Captain honors in 1997. After his career at Issaquah, he played college ball at Bellevue Community College prior to moving on and playing at University of San Francisco, where he was the starting SS for the 2000 and 2001 seasons. Following his collegiate career, he moved back to the Pacific Northwest and has been involved coaching football and baseball in the Issaquah community for the last 13 years. He is married to his wife Julie and has two sons Hudson and Brody.
Tyler Reese, Assistant Coach, #2
A former Eagle, coach Tyler Reese was a three-year varsity starter (2018-2020) in the infield and earned All-KingCo honors. ... After his career at Issaquah, he played college baseball at Lower Columbia College, where he started two years in the outfield, was named NWAC West Region First Team, and helped lead the team to winning the NWAC Championship in 2023. ... Following his playing career, Tyler earned his BA degree in Secondary Education in Health and Fitness from St. Martin's University in 2025. He has spent the past three summers coaching the Lakeside Recovery baseball team and is entering his second year as an assistant coach at Issaquah High School. Tyler and his fiancée Jade were recently engaged and currently live in Issaquah.
Jacob Kemmerer, Pitching Coordinator, #30
A former Eagle, coach Kemmerer anchored the starting rotation of Issaquah High School's last state championship team in 2007. He earned three varsity letters in baseball and football, All-Kingco honors, and served as captain in both sports. Jacob pitched for two years at Edmonds Community College, where he served as team captain, and moved on to play D1 ball at Liberty University in Virginia where he compiled a 2.97 career ERA and led the team in saves in 2012. He then signed with the Rockford Aviators of the Frontier League before injury ended his playing career. Jacob has coached at Issaquah HS, Eastside Catholic and with various local summer baseball programs. He and his wife Alyssa reside in Issaquah with their German Shorthaired Pointers, Lou and Scout.
